Welcome to Virginia’s world famous Technology in Education conference. Using this tool to mark your personal scheduling preferences does not reserve a seat for marked sessions, nor does it register you for the conference. We do not plan to have paper programs available on site. If you would like a printed program, please print a personal copy prior to arriving at the conference.

DIY VR: Around the World With Google Tour Creator

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Google Tour Creator allows you and your students to build 360° immersive VR tours similar to those found in Google Expeditions, complete with text and audio. In this very short hour we’ll look at a few examples and then build a tour using scenes from Google Street View as well as 360° images you can make yourself. Finished tours can be viewed almost anywhere: on computer or mobile device, with or without goggles, and inside or outside of the Expeditions app. You’ll leave with all the resources you need to do this yourself.

All of the information from my session, including the examples I showed and link to my step-by-step tutorial for building a tour, can be found at this site: http://www.assortedstuff.com/stuff. Click the contact link on that page if you have any questions or comments.
