Virtual and augmented reality are current trends within the educational technology community. Just like most educational technology, there is debate about the effectiveness of its integration into K-12 classrooms. We set out to determine if virtual reality has an affect on student engagement and learning in a third grade classroom. Using a departmentalized grade level, we enriched science lessons to one class using virtual reality and used normal videos with another. We will also be providing a hands-on experience with the devices we used for this research. Do not be a-freight to find out the results of our action research at this session and to get a hands-on experience with ClassVR!
