Welcome Welcome to Virginia’s world famous Technology in Education conference. Using this tool to mark your personal scheduling preferences does not reserve a seat for marked sessions, nor does it register you for the conference. We do not plan to have paper programs available on site. If you would like a printed program, please print a personal copy prior to arriving at the conference.
We often say that there is never enough time. Time to set goals, plan lessons to meet independent needs, critique student work and reflect on that work. We often find ourselves settling for the bare minimum: just plan the lessons. We can show you some simple tech savvy techniques to get it all in and keep your class on track. In this session geared toward secondary teaching environments, we will demonstrate and discuss a variety of successful techniques that you can use consistently and even repetitively to train your students to value the iterative goal setting, critique, and reflection process and take control of their own learning. If you work with students in collaborative teams or have aspirations to incorporate more student choice in projects without losing control of your engines then this session is a definite stop!
I teach a ton of digital based art classes and I am constantly looking for ways to use technology to create, document, discuss, and interact with graphics and art in the classroom.
