There are numerous tools that can be utilized for STEM activities. The key aspect in determining which ones to purchase is how the tool will support the educational component of the classroom. In many cases, there can be specific uses for a piece of hardware in fairly focused uses. For example, 3D printers are the perfect tools for bringing something from vision to reality. However, in a school STEM lab, the key is to have tools that can have multiple uses, support the differing curriculum, encourage creativity, and tie together multiple STEM skills. We will review STEM options, discuss best uses, and focus on ways to integrate these tools into the curriculum.
